Sokoto govt. mulls business collaboration, partnership with Korea

The Sokoto State Government is considering engaging in strategic collaborations and partnerships with the Republic of South Korea.

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal accompanied by the state Commissioner of Commerce and Industry,  Hon. Bashir Gidado Jegawa, on Thursday, met with the South Korean envoy Ambassador Lee In-tae and the Country Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Woochan Chang at the Korean Embassy, in Abuja.

Both parties deliberated on the issues of  education, health, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) as well as trade and investment as potential areas of cooperation.

A Korean company was in the old Sokoto State in the early 80s were it built Shukura Hotel, Gusau Hotel and Grand Fishing Hotel in Sokoto, Gusau and Argungu all located in present day Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi states respectively.
