Sit-at-home: Imo residents rubbish  Gov Uzodinma’s claims, shut down state

Imo State was on Monday literally shut down yesterday, as offices, shops, banks and markets remained shut despite Governor Hope Uzodinma’s claim that  the IPOB/ESN sit-at-home order doesn’t operate in Imo and that normal activities were ongoing in the state as usual.

However, commercial activities were almost grounded as banks and other businesses, including banks did not open for business.
The shops were not only closed but there were also no buyers, as most residents remained at home.

Government offices were opened though but only very few workers turned up just as only a handful of  private transporters managed to operate.
