Shiites join #June12Protest in Abuja to demand ‘Buhari Must Go
The #June12Protest takes a dramatic turn in Abuja with the alliance between the protesters and members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) in demanding the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The #June12Ptotest is currently taking place in most parts of the country with the Abuja protesters storming major roads to kick against what they called “bad governance” under the Buhari administration.
According to the Cable, among the protesters are members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) better known as Shi’ites, who have been protesting the continued detention of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, IMN leader.Advertisement
“Buhari must go… free El Zakzaky… stop injustice,” the protesters chanted as they marched along the streets.
