SGF urges alumni association to restore ABU past glory

Mr. Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has called on the Alumni Association of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria to restore the past glory of university.

Mustapha made the call on Friday in Abuja when members of the executive of the association, led by its National President, Prof. Ahmed Mora, paid him a courtesy visit.

The SGF said the idea was to ensure that the spirit of brotherhood and benefits enjoyed in the early days of the institution were rekindled.

“It is the alumni that can rekindle the past glory of the university where students were seen as one, irrespective of religion and ethnicity.

“ABU was a mini Nigeria during our time, because there was mutual respect for one another and at that time, we learnt to be our brother’s keepers without considerations to ethnic and religious background.
