Sen. Tofowomo mourns victim of auto crash

Senator Nicholas Tofowomo, representing Ondo South Senatorial District, on Friday, lamented the death of a PDP chieftain, Mrs. Yetunde Ajinde, who died of complications arising from a fatal auto crash in Ondo.

Mr. Olumide Akinrinlola, the media aide to Tofowomo, quoted the senator as saying in Okitipupa that her death came as a “rude shock”.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ajinde died on Thursday at the Trauma Centre, University of Medical Sciences in Ondo, where she had been receiving treatment following the accident on September 5.

Mr. Banji.Okunomo, a PDP governorship aspirant for Ondo 2020, the late Ajinde and one other PDP woman chieftain were on the senator’s entourage when the accident occurred.

The accident occurred at Igbara-Oke along Ilesha-Akure road on September 5 on their way to a political function in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The senator, in a statement, prayed God to grant her family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. (NAN)
