Thje Chief Imam had been quoted sa saying that the criminalities were tests from Allah.

The federal lawmaker said it was unfortunate that clerics fail to tell those in power the truth but preach to the poor in a fiery manner.

Sen. Sani was quoted as saying, “Banditry and kidnappings are not test from God, but the sum of failure of the past and present leadership.

“It is the way of state clergies to reshape the gospel to comfort and exculpate power; they preach to the poor with flames and preach to the powerful with flowers.”

The Chief Imam of the State House Mosque had said, on Tuesday, that insecurity in Nigeria was a test from God.

The cleric reportedly made the comments during the daily Tafsir (Quranic teachings) which held at the State House Mosque, in Abuja.
