S’East security outfit, EbubeAgu bares fangs, nabs 37 suspects

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Internal Security, Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, Stanley Okoro-Emegha, on Monday, said the South-east security outfit, EbubeAgu, has arrested 37 suspected criminals for reportedly plotting to attack police formations and facilitates belonging to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.

Speaking to newsmrn in Abakaliki, Okoro-Emegha added that the suspects were arrested on Sunday in Agubia, in Ikwo Local Government Area.

According to him: “Ebubeagu security outfit in a midnight operation, on Sunday, May 23 apprehended a total of 37 suspected criminals in Agubia axis in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi.”

The commissioner explained that Ebubeagu worked in collaboration with police operatives from Ikwo Divisional Police Station to arrest the suspects, who he said are indigenes of Ebonyi and neighbouring states in the South-east.
