In the words of the governor, “Adiyan Phase II is a 70 million gallon per day water project started by former governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola.

“We want to finish it on time within the next 18months. We are going to work with the contractor.

“The second phase of it is to take the water to every part of Lagos State like Ikeja, Alimosho, Surulere, Yaba, and other places,” he said.

He added, “The third phase is the right of ways. We will pay the compensation so the contractor can lay pipe to all parts of Lagos.

“If we can achieve it within two years, we would have been able to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, SDG, plan of this administration which is to provide clean water, and reduce water borne disease and health challenges.”
