Osun, Anambra States factors

The focus, after the final outcome of the elections would now shift to the next staggered elections coming up in Anambra and Osun States in 2021 and 2022 respectively. In Anambra State, the battle would be a triangular one to be fought by the incumbent APGA and two strong opposition parties, APC and PDP.

The sitting APGA would, therefore, need a stronger political muscle to ward off their aggression. And the target would be 2023 just like the factors under consideration for the coming Edo and Ondo polls.

2023 presidency

The pundits are of the view that if the current situation subsists till 2023, APC is likely to have an upper hand going by the pattern of voting in the country. The states under the control of the APC majorly in the North can boast of heavy votes going by the past experiences.

It is on record that states like Kano, Kaduna, Kebbi always post average of two million votes each against some southern states some of which could not muster beyond a million votes or less.

What is clear, however, is that both Edo and Ondo elections are crucial for the leading contenders -APC and PDP.
