According to the governor, the school would afford many children in the community the opportunity to have access to secondary education, which they lacked over the years.

He said his administration is committed to providing safety and security for teachers and pupils in all schools across Lagos.

The governor further used the opportunity to assure that the government would ensure Justice is done in the case of Sylvester Oromoni of Dowen College.

“I want to use the opportunity of this moment to assure you of our continued commitment to the education sector. We assure you that we will continue to invest in the education and future of our students and youths because they are our assets and hope for a greater future,” he said.

Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, thanked the governor for his passion for the education sector. He praised him for his  ‘passionate and sustained commitment to the provision of world class quality infrastructure for our public schools.’

“The importance of infrastructure to  quality   education and for a child  to realize his or her full potential cannot be over emphasized. This perhaps explains the state government’s resolve to continue to put in place requisite facilities such as the one we are commissioning today,” she said.
