The letter stated that the increment was “in appreciation of the dedication of all health officers in Lagos to the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as their daily hazardous exposure to the highly contagious disease.”

“The gesture is an incentive to all health workers in Lagos as frontline responders in the fight against the pandemic.”

The head of service expressed the belief that the health officers would reciprocate the gesture with more doggedness and enthusiasm towards their duty in all the state health facilities.
