Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has assured his administration will create a good working relationship with the state lawmakers.
While speaking with journalists at the end of a two day retreat for state executive members and members of the state House of Assembly on Thursday, the governor said both the executives and the legislatives ‘are on the same page’ to deliver dividends of democracy to Lagosians.
“Everyone of us knew fully we were on the same page with lines of delivering dividends of democracy to our people. Also we understood that we have different roles to play. Now we can compliment everybody’s role,” he said.

The governor further said participants were lectured on how to foster good relationship between the executive and the lawmakers.
“Our House of Assembly members were advised on how we can foster our relationship. Advises were given by our National House of Assembly members on how to build harmonious relationship between the legislative and the executives And on the executive side, for us to understand what their demands are at legislative side so at the end of the day, proper and good governance would be delivered to our good citizens,” Sanwo-Olu said.
“We are lucky in Lagos because we have our political leadership that are in tune with us. They counsel and advised us from their own wealth of experience. Most of them have been at the helm of affairs and offers useful advises that make us have good feedback from our citizens
We want our citizens to know that what the executive put forward is what they operate, and on the policies that have been initiated. We want to ensure we are in win win situation,” Sanwo-Olu further said.
