Hon. Aisoweren said the constituency empowerment programme was not unconnected with palliative measures to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 stay-at-home order but in line with his yearly ritual of empowering his constituents irrespective of party affiliation

“As a good politician, a grassroots man and a Democrat, this is what I do as a yearly routine outreach to my constituency, to carry the people along to cushion the impact of hardship most especially for the grassroots people.

“I know what my people want and I know what they like the tricycles will aid them boost economy activities and  farming in the rural area.

“This has nothing to do with the Covid 19 sit at home order. What we did was to obey government directive of not more than twenty persons gathering otherwise it would have take the usual form of jamboree.”

Orhionmwon council APC party chairman, Elder Ben Oghumu, who commended the lawmaker for the yearly empowerment outreach which he started while at the State House of Assembly urged the beneficiaries to make optimal use of the items to enhance their economy status in the face of the present hardship.
