Punch, others barred from covering presidential villa’s activities

The Presidential Villa, Abuja has barred some media houses from covering the activities of the Presidency due to the Coronavirus pandemic which limits the number of people at a gathering.This was contained in a statement from the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on Tuesday, 24 March, 2020.
Media houses barred from covering the Presidency activities are: Africa Independent Television (AIT), Arise TV, Silverbird Television (STV), Ben TV and some radio stations.

Also barred were reporters from PUNCH, Thisday, Tribune, The Guardian, Vanguard, Daily Trust and other major newspapers.

Some were however allowed to send their photo journalists.
