A Superintendent of Police, Mr Idorenyin Akpabio, the Officer in Charge of the anti-robbery squad, some police officers and hoodlums in fake army uniforms have invaded polling units, shooting guns and carting away elections materials from Unit to unit in Essien Udim.
At least seven agents of the PDP who attempted to resist the unwholsesome actions we’re abducted and thrown into detention at Essien Udim Divisional Police Headquarters, by Supol Akpabio, without any charge preferred against them.
The DPO said he is unable to release them since Supol Akpabio is a superior officer.
At the moment, having chased off all PDP supporters and agents, the massive rigging is ongoing in several units of Essien Udim, especially Unit 17 and 18 of Ukana Iba Ward.

Earlier this morning, Supol Akpabio who is in charge of Anti Robbery in the state police headquarters, had gone to the gate of the House of PDP chieftain Emem Akpabio, discharging some gun shots sporadically, thereby forcing the elder statesman to remain indoors.
Supol Idorenyin Akpabio is said to be Sen Godswill Akpbio’s cousin.
