Police arraign Pastor’s wife for defrauding 21 people.

The police in Lagos State has arraigned a 31-year-old Lady, identified as Onyekpe Prosper, for allegedly defrauding 21 people millions of Naira in a failed Forex trading business.

The suspec was arraigned on January 14, 2020, before Magistrate K. A. Adekamaya of the Badagry Magistrate Court on 21 count charge with Charge Sheet Number MCB/14/2020, bordering on obtaining money under false pretenses.

The prosecutor, Nkem Ukoh, told the court that the suspect had, between November and December 2019, lured the complainants to invest in the Forex Trade, after collecting different amounts of money from them.

The suspect pleaded not guilty to all the charges. She was granted bail with N 3,000,000, with two sureties of Civil Servants Grade Level 9.

The case was adjourned till February 18, 2020.

Some of the church member that accompanied her to the court told the reporter that her husband is a Lagos based Pentecostal pastor.

They added that the suspect was brought to the court from the hospital.
