Parents of abducted Kaduna varsity students march on NASS

Parents of the abducted students of the College of Forestry Mechanisation, in Afaka, Kaduna State, on Tuesday, staged a protest at the National Assembly complex, in Abuja.

The protesters included members of the Students Union Government (SUG) of the institution.
The protesters lamented over what they described as the ‘negligence’ of the state and Federal Government in securing the release of the children.

The protesters were heard chanting solidarity songs and displayed placards demanding prompt rescue of the students.

The protesters sang, ‘Education is our right! Safety is our right! Freedom is our right!, Free Afaka 29!’

The protesters were joined by the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Mr. Omoyele Sowore and rights activist, Mr. Deji Adeyanju.

The main entrance of the National Assembly was, however, manned by security agents who denied the protesters entrance.
