Osun: How Ademola Adeleke Can Succeed

Olumide Lawal

May God empower Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State with wisdom and robust health, to be able to deal decisively with the selfish interests of the professional sycophants and hypocrites, who cry Hosanna today, crucify him tomorrow. He should hit the ground running harder and faster than he started.

The overall welfare of Osun peasants should be his concern and not those who mill round him 24/7 for their selfish interests. Those of you, who are very close to him should not shy away from telling him all these unassailable bitter facts, to enable him succeed glowingly.

Four years is just around the corner. The governor should not let down his guards, now that all legal matters are resolved in his favour. All bucks stop on his table.

It is him and him alone, that bears ADEMOLA ADELEKE and who would be held accountable and responsible to the good people of Osun State, who freely gave him their votes and the mandate. Not Dr Deji or any other members of his family will be held accountable.

Osun should be a state of good reference after the first four years and subsequently the whole eight years by God’s grace. He should not allow bootlickers to make unnecessary enemies for him. This is a small step for him towards realising greater ambition but a giant leap for enduring democracy and good governance in Osun State. The very best of luck to the Governor. Let us keep on glorifying God Almighty, who in His mercy, made it all possible. Not by might, but by His grace.

I commend also Governor Ademola Adeleke’s giant strides in the areas of far-reaching infrastructural development across the state, which has made him MR INFRASTRUCTURES, as well as his enthusiastic promotion of the welfare of civil servants and pensioners. His fast grasp of governance within so short a time is also commendable. For Governor Adeleke, it was a goal scored in a grand style, after an epic and protracted play against concerted forces of fate.

Mr Olumide Lawal was special adviser to late Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, the first executive Governor of Osun State. he wrote in from Ede, Osun State.
