The party, therefore, commended the primary election Committee, under the chairmanship of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, the aspirants and their supporters for the feat.

“Although a candidate emerged from the unusually transparent and rancour-free exercise, the chapter prefers to perceive the success as victory for the State chapter,” the party stated.

While congratulating the party’s flag bearer and Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, on the victory, the party urged him to accommodate  all tendencies within the fold.

“The state Secretariat would expedite efforts to bring together all the aspirants and stakeholders within the shortest possible time, to hold a family meeting and fashion out plausible approaches to electoral victory come October,” the statement assured.

The chapter also cautioned that members should not be carried away by the victory, saying all hands must be on deck to ensure the party wins governorship election in October and retain Ondo State for the APC.
