Ondo makes Covid-19 vaccination compulsory, gives reasons

The Ondo State Executive Council on Monday resolved to make Covid-19 vaccination compulsory for all adult residents of the state.
Therefore, it directed the residents to get vaccinated within two weeks, with effect from Tuesday.

Throwing more light on the directive, the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo, on Tuesday, said it became necessary because the government was doing everything possible to ensure that the residents of the state are free of the deadly coronavirus disease.

He added that the already laid down protocols of the Covid-19 must be strictly adhered to by the residents of the state.

The commissioner said: “Aside from all existing protocols, all residents in the state must be vaccinated with effect from two weeks from now.

“After the expiration of these two weeks, evidence of vaccination will be the condition to access public places, churches, mosques. The Head of Service has been mandated to drive this process in the public service.”
