Ogun gov. appoints ex-AIG chair security trust fund

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Saturday unveiled members of the state reinvigorated Security Trust Fund and announced a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Bolaji Balogun, as its chairman.

Abiodun  also named as members of the committee, the Chief Financial Officer of Access Bank Plc, Olushola Subair; the Group Executive of Commercial Banking of First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, Seyi Kumapayi; and the Executive Director of Wema Bank, Seyi Oyefeso.

The governor announced Mr. Opeyemi Agbaje as the Executive Secretary and Wole Akinleye as a member of the committee.

Abiodun assured the people of safety of life and property with the inauguration of the STF team.

He urged the committee to provide money for the acquisition and deployment of security equipment necessary to prevent crime in the state.

The committee was also asked to ensure the efficiency of all the security agencies in the state.
