A notorious kidnapper terrorizing the East/West Road along Emohua axis in Rivers State has been killed by men of the Operation STING.
it would be recalled that the state Governor Nyesom Wike had commissioned the security team to tackle insecurity situation in the state.
However, The Nigerian Xpress gathered that the suspect Ekweme Ike popularly known as Lucifer was killed Monday evening when he opened fire on the joint security team who were in the area on patrol.
Confirming the incident, the State’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, said efforts are on to arrest other colleagues of the killed kidnapper, noting that his death has resulted to jubilation in his community, Rundele.

Omoni said: “The most wanted notorious kidnapper from Egamini Rundele, in Emohua LGA, Ekweme Brown Ike ,aka LUCIFER has been killed by Men of the Operation STING, in a STING Operation led by the Commander, Acp Shem Evans.
“He is responsible for all the kidnappings and hijack of Commercial Buses on the Ndele axis of the East/West Road.
“The entire Rundele Community has thrown into a wild jubilation as a result of his death.
“Meanwhile, efforts are on to arrest his Confederates in crime.
