Female Nigerian celebrities and other women have taken to Instagram to share what many of them say is the society’s perception of them either as single women, single mothers or married and in their husband’s homes.

The trend with the hashtag #NobodyLikeWoman on Instagram has packed powerful figures in the Nigerian entertainment space who share what they say is a side talk and societal stereotypes about them and the womenfolk.

The hashtag which was started by singer, Simi, has seen other influential personalities latched on it to share mostly humiliating stereotypical encounters with society.

Dancer and Choreographer, Kaffy posted “Dance is sinful, devilish too.”

Actress and wife of singer, Banky W, Adesua Etomi, wrote “Is she pregnant yet,?” It details her struggles after miscarriages.

Comedian Chigul, wrote, “My friend, go and have a child.”

Embattles actress and wife of Tuface Idibia, Annie wrote: “She has no male child. She has no talent. She is only visible because of her man.”

Others said they have been questioned by society why they bother to be educated since they are women.

“She’s a girl, why does she need education? She’s a lady, she cannot take on this leadership,” one Instagram user said.

Another wrote: “Use what you have to get what you want,” a subtle message about those encouraging women to prostitute their bodies.

Yet another wrote, “Why are so ambitious? Don’t you know you will still end up with a man?
