#NIGERIA DECIDES2023: Rhodes-Vivour fumes over INEC’s delayed arrival of voting materials in his ‘stronghold’

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV), the governorship candidate of the Labour Party, (LP), in Lagos State,  has cried out that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has failed to supply electoral materials to Alimosho and Iba Local Government Area of Lagos State.

Rhodes-Vivour alleged that this was being done in areas he considered his strongholds.

Speaking on Channels Television after casting his vote at his polling unit, Ward A 045 Oshifila/Abule Igbira, Anifowoshe in the Ikeja area of Lagos, revealed that he would not congratulate Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC if he wins the election, rather he would go to court to appeal his victory.

He further alleged that there has been a lot of targeted voter suppression by the All Progressives Congress in the state, but insisted that the will of the people would prevail, as this year’s election is a fight for the soul of Lagos.

“INEC is yet to bring election materials to Alimosho and Iba because it’s my strongholds. You find out that everywhere that we are strong and we show strength, polling units materials have yet to arrive. The will of the people will prevail.

“There has been a lot of targeted voter suppression. I’m not congratulating someone that has his mandate from voter suppression and intimidation. Why would I do that? I will go to court,” he said.
