#NIGERIA DECIDES2023: INEC declares Sanwo Olu winner of Lagos guber election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in the early hours of Monday, declared Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu of Lagos State as the winner of the 2023 governorship election.

The announcement  was made at exactly 1:16am by the Lagos INEC “s Returning Officer.

Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu won his re-election bid with a total vote of 762,134 to defeat his closest  rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP) who scored 312, 329.

Olajide Adediran of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) scored 62, 449.
