NiDCOM Head of Media explained that at present, more than 10, 000 Nigerians have been evacuated and rehabilitated, adding that the Commission boasts of 28 Diaspora Focal Point Officers (DFPOs) out of 36 States in Nigeria, assuring the organisers of the JIFORM Summit that the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission is open to render technical assistance in its joined mission to project Nigerians positively on the Diaspora map.

Similarly, the President, JIFORM, Mr. Ajibola Abayomi, commended NiDCOM’s efforts in the last one year which have surpassed the expectations of many, just as he called for more partnerships among government agencies with the Commission to make migration regular and legal.

The International Migration Summit, with the theme Migration Governance and Media Strategy for Development during COVID-19 Pandemic, is scheduled to hold in October, this year.
