NCDC confirms 381 new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria

Nigeria has recorded additional 381  COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, the highest  the country has recorded in a day since the outbreak of the virus pandemic in Nigeria, bringing the total tally of positive cases in the country to 3526.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its verified Twitter handle, on Thursday.

The NCDC tweet shows that Lagos remains the epicentre of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 183 new cases, Kano, 55; Jigawa, 44; Zamfara, 19; Borno, 9; Bauchi, 19; Katsina, 11; Kwara, 8; Kaduna, 7; Gombe, 6; Ogun, 5; Sokoto, 4; Oyo, 3;  Rivers, 3; Niger, 2; Akwa Ibom, 1; Enugu, 1 and Plateau,1.

Nigeria has so far recorded 3526 confirmed cases; 601 have recovered and been discharged while 107 persons died. Only  Cross River and Kogi states are yet to record any case of the COVID-19 in the country.
