NASFAT mourns Deputy President, S.O.B Babalola

“He was always willing to rise to any demand relating to the deen and the Ummah.

“Owing to his exemplary leadership qualities, as the pioneer  President of the Muslim Ummah of the Southwest, Islam grew tremendously and rapidly in the Southwest.

“His tenure promoted unity, harmony and development among the Islamic stakeholders in the country,” he said.

Bolarinwa added that the deceased would be fondly remembered for his outstanding philanthropy which  benefited  Muslims and non Muslims as well as Islamic organisations across the country.

“Though we are pained by his death we are consoled by the word of Allah in the Quran 3:169–171.We pray that Allah should reward his philanthropic activities as ‘recurring charities,” he prayed

“NASFAT therefore commiserates with the entire Ummah, the deceased family in Ede and Osun State Government, for the loss of this great Nigerian and a worthy ambassador of Islam’.

“We pray Almighty Allah to accept the repose of his soul, grant him Aljannah firdaos and grant the bereaved the strength to bear the loss,” he said.

In another development, NASFAT, as part of its National Executive Retreat, resolved to bring its activities closer to the elite communities,partnered with Dolphin Estate Central Mosque

An erudite Islamic scholar and member of NASFAT board, Dr Lukman Adedeji, was appointed as the Sole Administrator of the outreach while Imam Saeed Adekunle will serve as the pioneer missioner for the outreach.

Bolarinwa, while addressing the congregation on the retreat resolution, stated that it was designed to give NASFAT a valuable presence and accessibility to residents in elite Communities.

He added that the outreach was expected to serve residents of Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi and adjoining communities.

“The inaugural asalatu is scheduled for October 6  where NASFAT members will be joining the Ikoyi Dolphin Muslim community for the epoch making event,” he said.(NAN)
