The Abaga Toni II of Toni Chiefdom in Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, HRH Mr. Lawrence Ayih JP, has conferred the title of the Sarkin Yakin Kokona on Governor Abdullahi Sule, in appreciation of leadership style in the state.
The turbaning took place, on Tuesday, at a ceremony, during a courtesy call on the Governor, by the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Kokona Local Government Area, at the Government House.
In a brief remarks before conferring the title on the Governor, the Abaga Toni, while appreciating the present administration for its developmental strides in Kokona LGA, as well as across the entire state, described Governor Sule as a ‘bridge’ that is uniting the people and not a wall separating them.
“You are a light that shines the way for the people, not darkness that envelops them. You are a vaccine that cures the people, not a virus that kill the people,” HRH Ayih JP stated.
In his response, Governor Sule thanked the royal father for the honour done to him.
As part of the ceremony, the royal father dressed the Governor in his traditional regalia, as well as presented him with a white horse.
