Mohammed eyes Flying Eagles

Malta based Nigerian rising star, Usman Mohammed believes he has what it takes to play for the country’s U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, insisting that he will make a big impact in the team if given the opportunity.

The utility player who just turned 18 and is a regular for Maltese Premiership side, Mosta FC says that if invitation is extended to him by the Flying Eagles handlers, he will do his best to help the team win laurels for Nigeria.

“My game is improving every day since I joined Mosta FC and my coaches and fans are happy with what I am doing. I believe I have what it takes to fight for shirt in the national U-20 team. It’s true that there are so many good players in the team but I believe I can add value to the team,” noted the 5ft, 11 inches striker.

Mohammed, a former Rason FC  of Lagos player  who have four goals to his credit in the Maltese Premier League explained that he has so far turned down offers from some countries who are looking for his services, insisting that his target is to represent his fatherland at both the junior and senior levels.

“As a player, my desire is to play for Nigeria and no other country. I love my fatherland, I started my career in Nigeria and I know my services will be more appreciated by my country,” concluded the player who said his major concern now is to help his club finish well in the Maltese top flight.
