Maximise Private Sector’s Interest in Sports Development, Adedoja Tells Dare

A former minister of sports and special duties Professor Taoheed Adedoja has advised the new Sports Minister, Mr. Sunday Dare to maximise the interest of the private sector in the development of sports in Nigeria.

Prof. Adedoja who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), also from Oyo State (as the new minster) offered the advice in a congratulatory message to the newly appointed Minister of Sports and Youth  Development , Mr. Sunday  Dare  on his recent  appointment  by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Adedoja  who later served as Pro chancellor of Federal University, Dutse in Jigawa State  said he is sure Mr Dare would  succeed in his new assignment and that he would  be ready to advise the new minister  when  his advice is needed.

According to Adedoja , “it is the responsibility of all  APC  members to contribute to the success of the present government in providing the dividends of good governance to the people of Nigeria.”

In another development the  Nigerian Sports  Stakeholders  Forum (NSSF) has charged the new minister, Mr Dare  to take a cue from Prof. Adedoja ‘s unprecedented achievements and professional reforms  in the sporting sector of the economy which attracted  public commendation during  Prof.  Adedoja’s seven months stint as minister of sports and special duties in  2011 .
