Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State has warned his predecessor, Alhaji Abubakar Abdul’Aziz Yari, to stop making inflammatory statements about the ongoing dialogue process in the state or face dire consequences.
Governor Matawalle gave the warning at the Government House, in Gusau, while receiving the District Head of Yan Kaba in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area, Alhaji Buhari Ammani, his two wives and three others, who were abducted about three months ago.
The governor urged his predecessor in office, his allies and political associates, to desist from making further negative comments forthwith and either join hands with the present administration or keep off.
Said he, “Let me warn the former Governor to keep off my administration, especially the peace process going on in the state or face dire consequences as I will no longer fold my arms and watch blatant sabotage from anybody”, he said.
