The Enugu State Police Command has apprehended a suspect, identified as Monday Nnaji, for allegedly hacking a Secondary School student, Great Nwobodo, to death with a machete.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), SP Ebere Amaraizu, he said the incident happened on June 6, in Amodu Community, Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state.

It was reported that the deceased, with three of his siblings, were coming back from school when the sad incident occurred.
The corpse of the deceased, he said, had been deposited at District Hospital Mortuary, Agbani, while the police also recovered the machete allegedly used by the suspect.
