“Kindly be informed that Julius Abure, the erstwhile and former National Chairman of Labour Party and Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim whose tenure expired on 8th June 2024 are impersonators indicted for Perjury, Forgery and Criminal Conspiracy by the FCID due for Prosecution,” he wrote

He added that the AGF had on March 17, 2025 ‘authorized the Inspector General of Police to prosecute Julius Abure, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, Ojukwu Clement and Edward Nkwegu Okereke for perjury, forgery and criminal conspiracy.’
