Eighteen-year-old rap artiste, Sanni Goriola Wasiu, alias Lilfrosh, accused of assaulting his lover, Okeoghene Iyomaterie, has been arraigned and remanded at the correctional facility in Ikoyi.
The artiste was alleged to have beaten his girlfriend to a pulp and video recorded her naked, while wriggling in pain, sometime, in September 2020.
The act was greeted by wide spread condemnation on social media.
The Nigerian Xpress reports that though the accused was signed to the Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) record label, the rapper’s contract was terminated over the said act.
Lilfrosh was also invited for questioning at Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID ) Alagbon on February 4, and arraigned on Tuesday, February 9.
Speaking on her ordeal, Iyomatire disclosed although her relationship with Lilfrosh lasted for less than a year, it was marred with violent attacks at any slight disagreement.
“He consistently slapped me on face, kicking, pushing me on the other sensitive part. The last attack happened in September, 2020 when he attacked me and rained blows on my head and face.
“I partially lost my sight and had difficulty sleeping. He repeatedly boasted that since he is a well known musician he is untouchable,” she said.
The arraignment, it was learnt, was facilitated by the International Association Of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Lagos State branch.
Although Lilfrosh pleaded not guilty to the one count charge of assault, he was not granted bail as he had no legal representation in court.
The matter was adjourned to March 9, 2021.
