Lagos govt. disburses N2.5m to families of Abule-Ado explosion victims

In keeping with the verbal commitment made by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State to assist victims/families affected by the gas explosion of Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Abule Ado-Soba, in Amuwo Odofin Local Government, has been graciously approved by the Executive Council of Mr. Governor’s administration.

This approval has been conveyed to victims/families affected by the incident by the DG/CEO of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu in a statement which expatitiated the modalities for collection and how much each victim/family is entitled to to collect. Said he, ” Each named next of kin of a deceased victim of the Abule Soba pipeline explosion will be given Two Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N2,500,000) by the Lagos State Government”

Furthermore, the DG LASEMA in his statement titled “INVITATION” called on all those affected to attend a meeting for Verification, Identification and Collection of the #2.5M Financial Support at the Deputy Governor’s Office at The Secretariat Alausa, Ikeja by 11:00a.m today Wednesday 22nd April, 2020.

Further to the verbal commitment made by Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, Executive Governor, Lagos State to assist the victims of the families affected by the gas explosion at Ado Soba, Amuwo Odofin LG  which occurred on the 15th March 2020, I wish to notify you that Executive Council approval has been given for the presentation of relief assistance to you, as a named next of kin, by the Lagos State Government tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd April 2020.

We therefore request that you attend a brief meeting at the office of the Deputy Governor, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja.

You are to come with a valid form of identification and to be seated by 11am.
