The Police in Ebonyi State have said a lady in her late 30s, allegedly killed her baby boy during forceful delivery, in Abakiliki, the state capital.
Spokesperson for the Command, DSP Loveth Odah, revealed that the lady wanted to deliver the baby on her own, without the assistance of medical personnel.

She added that the baby had died in her womb which resulted to her inflicting injuries on herself while trying to deliver the baby by force.
According to the police image maker, the lady is currently admitted at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakiliki, where she is receiving treatment.
She posited that the lady refused treatment in the hospital, until the police intervened.
