Ladipo re-elected NBB of C President

Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBB of C) has re-elected Dr Rafiu Ladipo as President of the body for the next four years.
In the election held at the body’s national headquarters  Sunday, which attracted all the board members, Ladipo was returned unopposed just as the Secretary-General, Remi Aboderin was also returned unopposed.
Others elected are; Dr Chike Ilukwe as Vice President, Prince Ade Olofin, Vice President South West and Chief Eghareba, Vice President South-South. Kayode Gumeez emerged as the treasurer, Lateef Muess got the position of Financial Secretary.

Also,  Titilope Ogunkunle returned as the welfare officer with Ladipo Babalola retaining his position as Assistant Secretary-General while veteran Journalist Effiong Nyong was returned as the Public Relations Officer.
Ladipo immediately after the hitch-free election thanked all the board members for their cooperation and the good working relationship that existed among them which made his first tenure successful pledging that he will consolidate on his achievement to move Nigerian professional boxing forward.
“I want to thank all the board members for making my work easy during our first tenure. We recorded many achievements with the most important one being the hosting of a World title fight in Ibadan late last year and this was made possible because of the cooperation of all the board members. In my second tenure, I promise to continue with my open-door policy and to consolidate on the achievement recorded in the last four years. My plan is to ensure we help our boxers achieve their aim and to work in harmony with promoters to ensure that more fights are staged in the country to enable our talented boxers get ranked by the various world boxing bodies as a prelude to their having  a shot at the world title,” concluded Ladipo who also doubles as President General of Nigeria Football Supporters Club.
