Kwara Poly develops anti-Coronavirus sanitiser

The Kwara State Polytechnic has developed anti-coronavirus hand sanitiser to contain the spread of the killer COVID-19 which is currently ravaging the world.

The Institution, through Mr. O. E. Adeyemo of the Department of Science Laboratory Technology, presented  samples of the sanitiser to the deputy governor of the state, Mr. Kayode Alabi, who is Chairman of the Kwara State Task Force on Coronavirus in Ilorin, the state capital.

The Polytechnic said the anti-Coronavirus sanitiser was designed after realising that some of the available ones in circulation did not comply with specified standard by the  World Health Oganisation (WHO).

Rector of the institution, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, who led his management team to the Government House explained that the Polytechnic sprang into action, to assist  governments at all levels in curtailing the spread of the killer virus.

He pledged to keep supporting governments at both at the Federal level, the State as well as Local Government  to curtail  viruses such as COVID-19.

The Rector was accompanied by principal officers and other staff of the Polytechnic.  

Responding, the elated deputy governor was full of praises to the Polytechnic for the timely intervention at this crucial time.

He appealed to other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate this laudable gesture.
