A pro-democracy organization, Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), has described Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahaman of Kwara State as a ‘silent achiever’, commending him for performing wonders in the North Central state.

The group, in a statement from its National Convener, Comrade Razaq Olokoba, said the governor is performing well in transforming the state into an enviable settlement where development is springing up at every corner of the state.

The group said the governor, along with his team of competent team is doing “a yeoman job to take the state to the next level of an enviable height of global standard,” saying, “having critically monitored and studied the mode of operation of the governor, one cannot help but give kudos to the workaholic governor who he described as a man that squeezes water out of stone for the welfare of his people.”

The Kwara born CDG boss, Olokoba, who also hails from the state, asserted that, AbdulRazaq deserves commendation for successfully dismantling the 40 years of anti-masses dynasty in the state, saying, the people need to be patient with him to allow him raise the state from the scratch where he found it to where it ought to be very long time ago.

“Despite the menace of COVID-19, the governor is still able to perform well across all the sectors of the economy. So, there is the need for the people to double their support and cooperation to encourage him to be more focussed in the art of good governance for the good people of the state.”

Olokoba further said, “the governor’s efforts at securing the lives and property of his people should be applauded because businesses strive in a secured and conducive atmosphere where people can go about their activities without fear of attack and molestation.

“The people can be assured that, with patience, support and cooperation with the governor, all their yearnings and aspirations would be met the way he is handling the affairs of the state. From what we are witnessing now, the state is surely toeing the right path towards greatness and collective goals of the people,” he asserted.

The group described governor as “a silent achiever, efficient administrator, cool headed leader and a very religious team leader and therefore congratulated Kwara State people on their wisdom to choose him as their governor in the last year’s governorship election.”

The CDG marvelled at the way AbdulRazaq moved the state from a chaotic settlement to a peaceful and serene abode of highly civilised people, saying, that was made possible through the servant leader posture of the governor.

“AbdulRazaq’s superlative performance in his first year in office was a testimony that Kwara people are in for all-round rapid development across all the sectors of the economy. He has shown that the distribution of amenities would touch every nook and cranny of the state without discrimination. So far, all the amenities in the state are spread evenly without political consideration, social leaning, ethnic divides or religious inclination,” the group declared.

In conclusion the pro-democracy organization lauded the governor’s team and other stakeholders for a job being well done, assuring that, “their efforts are noted, recognised and would be rewarded at the fullness of time.”
