Kwara Govt. orders reversal to use of National Coat of Arms

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has ordered the immediate reversal to the use of National Coat of Arms in the state.

A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, on Friday in Ilorin said that AbdulRazaq also ordered the discontinuation of the coat of arm adopted in 2012 by previous administration.

“With immediate effect, this administration has dropped the Kwara State Coat of Arms and reverted to the use of the Federal Coat of Arms,” the statement said.

The statement said the Secretary to the State Government had been mandated to implement the order.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Kwara Government, under the leadership of the former Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed, adopted a different coat of arms for the state in 2012. (NAN)
