Governor Ahmed who, spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, in a statement, described the posters as fake since they were not approved by him.

The governor declared that the posters were not sanctioned or sponsored by him as he was no longer the‎ PDP Kwara South Senatorial candidate.

Continuing, the governor added that he has formally withdrew from the senatorial race in full compliance with the provisions and processes specified by the Electoral Act.

There had been confusions in the party over who between the governor and Sen. Ibrahim, is the actual candidate of PDP for Kwara South Senatorial election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had disclosed that Governor Ahmed was the one whose nomination form was in its records pointing out that PDP had not legitimately requested for substitution.
