Kidnappers release Bayelsa club owner, abduct wife, father during ransom delivery

The kidnapped popular nightclub owner, in Bayelsa Tari Ajanamih, has been reportedly but his wife and father who went to deliver the ransom were also abducted.
Ajanamih, 43, was abducted a fortnight ago at his building site along the Otiotio area of the Bayelsa State capital and a N200 million ransom placed on his head.
However, when his 38-years-old wife, Christiana, and his father, 74, went to deliver the N15 million, they were seized by the kidnappers, who insisted the family must complete the N200 million ransom  demanded, and consequently decided to keep the victim’s wife and father in their custody until the money is completed.

A close family source lamented: “We are, however, waiting to hear from the kidnappers. We learnt their Satellite Mobile Phone gadget popularly referred to as Turaya phone fell into the water during the ransom exchange.

“You know N15 million was taken to the ransom exchange point. The kidnappers collected the money and maybe held unto the wife and her father in order to demand more money from the victim. We plead with the kidnappers to tamper justice with mercy.”

However, the state police command claimed that though they had heard that the club owner had been released, news of the latest twist was mere rumours.
