Chidinma Ihuoma
Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, on Wednesday, declared that the Commission had achieved 100 per cent completion of the configuration of the Smart Card readers for use during the Saturday presidential and National Assembly elections.
He also said that the the Commission had commended the deployment of sensitive materials to some states and would be concluded on Thursday.

He also said that the card readers had been reconfigured to shut down by 10:00pm on the day it was activated for use to avoid being tampered with.
