Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered the shutting down of all markets and shopping malls selling non-essential products for seven days.
The order takes effect from Thursday March 26.
He gave the order on Tuesday at the State House, Marina, while giving update on the increase in the spread of Corvid-19 in the state.

He however said the order excludes markets selling food, household materials and medical equipments, adding the state government would ensure full enforcement of the order.
He also ordered shutdown of all recreational parks, swimming pools, and encouraged restaurants to ensure their foods are in take-away packages.
The governor said the order is “not a total shutdown of the state.”
