Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has been confirmed by the Police Council.
His confirmation came, on Thursday, following the COiuncil;’s meeting at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja.

President Muhammadu Buhari is chairman of the Police Council, which consists of all 36 states governors and some other members.
IGP Adamu was appointed in the acting capacity on January 15, 2019, following the retirement of the former IGP, Ibrahim Idris.
