Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has said that there was no reason for him to contemplate resigning his position of the chief electoral umpire in the country.
Prof. Yakubu said this, on Thursday, in Abuja, while fielding questions from reporters on the conduct of the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections, on Saturday, this week.

He assured Nigerians that he would carry out the constitutional assignment given to him for as long as the law allows him.
