Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said the state government would this month resume work on the abandoned Lagos-Badagry road.
During Sunday’s inspection tour of the road, the governor along his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, inspected the Maza Maza, First Gate, Trade Fair under bridge damaged portion of the road.
The governor said the state government would try to complete the road from Maza Maza to Okokomaiko, adding the remaining portion to Badagry would be completed in conjunction with the Federal Government .
He ordered all traders and markets along Orile, Coker, Mile-2 and Maza Maza to vacate the road as their presence has defaced the already completed portions of the road resulting in dumping of refuse and filths on the road.
