JUST IN: Justice Tsoho is Ag. Chief Judge of Fed. High Court

Justice John Tsoho has been sworn in as Acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.

Justice Tosho was sworn moments ago by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad.

The swearing-in took place after the initial uncertainty over who takes over from Justice Adamu Abdu-Kafarati who retires,  on Thursday.

Kafarati retired upon attainment of the mandatory retirement age of 65.

Tsoho’s inauguration as Acting Chief Judge was suspended on Friday morning ostensibly to get President Muhammadu Buhari’s clearance.

After Tsoho took his oath, on Friday, the CJN said it was statutory for the next most senior judge of the court to take over pending conclusion for the process of the substantive Chief Jugge of the court.
