JUST IN: Ex-Pensions chief, Abdulrasheed Maina knows fate today

A former chairman of the now-defunct Presidential Pension Reform Task Team (PPRTT), Abdurasheed Maina, was today (Monday) at the Abuja Federal High Court where judgement is expected to be delivered on his N2 billion fraud case against him.

Earlier on Monday, operatives of the Department of the State Services (DSS) and men of the Nigeria Police were seen cordoned off the premises of the court.

Maina is facing trial on 12 counts of criminal charges involving money laundering.

Justice Okon Abang is expected to deliver judgment in the trial that started, in 2019.

More than 50 security operatives mounted security at the court premises ahead of the judgment.

The fully-armed security operatives were controlling the inflow and outflow of lawyers, journalists, and litigants to the courtroom.

Meanwhile, Justice Abang is still being expected in the courtroom as at time of filing this report.
